Parental Involvement - Choir Parents Association
All parents automatically become members of the Choir Parents Association (CPA). There is an annual subscription of £10 that entitles families to discounts on trips etc. The CPA meets once per term and in order for your son to gain the most from their time within the choir at least one parent should attend these meetings. They are an important means of communication. The CPA meets to discuss planned social events, fund raising, trips, tours and general housekeeping.
In order to comply with the law, we ask each parent to sign a consent form once a year. This covers emergency details, medical information etc. Boys with inhalers should bring them when they sing and use them if needed. Please inform the choirmaster of any relevant confidential information. If in doubt we contact the parent.
As a choir parent you will be responsible for getting your son(s) to and from practices and services. Please arrange your own rotas with other parents to ease the load.
Please feel free to join us at the services and practices. We appreciate your commitment as a parent and understand that supporting your son while he is a chorister is a big undertaking. Most parents do though agree that the effort is well worth it.
