ORAL MEASUREMENT Place the thermometer sensor in one of the positions marked with the “√” symbol, as shown in the diagram, for about 1 minute. For more accurate results, keep your lips closed for 5 minutes before taking the measurement. The normal temperature range for this method is 35.7-37.3℃ (96.3℉ – 99.2℉). RECTAL MEASUREMENT Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the sensor for easier insertion. Gently insert the sensor approximately one centimeter (less than half an inch) into the rectum and hold still for about 1.5 minutes. The normal temperature range for this method is 35.2℃ – 36.7℃ (95.4℉ – 98.1℉). UNDERARM MEASUREMENT From a medical perspective, this method does not guarantee precise measurement. Dry the armpit with a towel, place the thermometer sensor under the arm, and hold the arm tightly against the body for approximately 1.5 minutes. The normal temperature range for this method is 35.2℃ – 36.7℃ (95.4℉ – 98.1℉). INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Clean or disinfect the sensor by wiping it or immersing it in ethyl alcohol. Press the On/Off button. The display will show briefly for 2 seconds, accompanied by a beep. The last recorded temperature will appear for about 2 seconds, followed by an auto-test temperature of 37℃ (98.6℉), then the Lo℃ (Lo℉) symbol will appear. Place the sensor in the mouth, rectum, underarm, etc. Once the temperature measurement is complete, the ℃ (℉) symbol will stop flashing, and you will hear a buzzer sound for about 10 seconds. The measured temperature will appear on the display. If the symbol stops flashing but the sensor remains in place, the temperature may continue to rise. Remove the thermometer when you hear the buzzer for about 1-2 minutes. If the measurement is <32℃ (90.0℉), the display will show Lo℃ (Lo℉). If the temperature is too high, it will show Hi℃ (Hi℉), indicating the need for immediate medical attention. If the reading is <37.8℃ (100.0℉), the beep sounds “Bi-Bi-Bi–Bi.” For temperatures of 37.8℃ (100.0℉) or higher, the beep frequency increases: “Bi-Bi-Bi—– Bi-Bi-Bi—–Bi-Bi-Bi.” The thermometer will automatically turn off after approximately 10 minutes to save battery life. To extend battery life, it is recommended to turn off the thermometer manually after each use by pressing the On/Off button.
